Formerly known as part of Terschelling Natuurlijk, but now proudly and lovingly renamed to Chéz Paulien.
I am Paulien – born and raised on Terschelling. After living elsewhere for almost 15 years, the island began to pull me harder and harder. The space, the air, the friendly nods on the bike, the endless beach and that special feeling you find nowhere else… eventually I knew: this is home.
And now I am back. Coming home to the island means for me peace, simplicity, nature and meeting people with whom you can share that feeling.
At Chéz Paulien, hospitality is central. I love welcoming guests and letting them experience why this island is such a special place for me. Whether you come for silence, wind, cycling, beach days, conviviality or just a few days of “nothing at all”: I make sure you feel at home here immediately.
I look forward to sharing my love for Terschelling with you — the island feeling that I have missed for years and that I now, every day again, experience to the fullest.

Welcome to Kinnum! This lovely spot is only 5.5 km from the ferry – just far enough to leave the crowds behind, but close enough to immediately enter island mode. As soon as you leave the main road and drive under the dike, you will see Kinnum appear: small, cozy and wonderfully quiet. For groceries, ice creams, terraces or a quick bite, you are just in Midsland, only 1.5 km further. And can you already hear the beach calling?
